What is covered under Purchase Protection Policy?

Purchase Protection Policy covers physical loss or damage to your online purchase in case of to the following events:

• Fire & Lightning

• Riot & Strike Damage

• Malicious Damage

• Explosion

• Earthquake Fire & Shock

• Atmospheric Disturbance

• Flood, Bursting and overflowing of pipes

• Aircraft Damage

• Impact Damage

• Burglary

• Terrorism

How can a claim be lodged?

Claim can be lodged by calling TPL Insurance on 111-000-301, via email at info@tplinsurance.com or on our website. Inform our representative of the nature of loss and policy number, based on which you will be guided regarding the remaining process.

Is burglary/snatching covered out of the documented premises/address?

The cover is restricted to address of delivery or any other address designated by the customer/buyer and commodities/items shall be kept in the same address for the cover to remain effective.

What value of the insured item is covered?

The item insured shall be covered for the invoiced value on which it has been purchased from Yayvo.

What mandatory information is required to activate the policy?

Upon purchase, TPL Insurance’s Representative shall call to collect your IMEI number, Serial number, CNIC number and Order ID of purchased item from Yayvo, to activate the policy. On providing above details, the soft policy will be emailed and hard copy to be courier to your registered address.

Are there going to be any deductions applicable on claim?

No.

Within how many days of incident can a claim be lodged?

Claim should be lodged immediately at time of loss or maximum within 7 days from the date of Accident.

Who should I contact in case of further queries?

Queries can be made by contacting Yayvo customer service numbers or by calling on 111-000-301, TPL Insurance’s 24 hour customer services.

Can this policy be purchased as a standalone cover?

No. This TPL Insurance Purchase Protection is exclusively available through Yayvo for items purchased from Yayvo.

What is the period of insurance for this cover?

Purchase Protection is available on Yayvo in variants of 1, 3, 6 and 12 months period. The cover period shall initiate as soon as the buyer checks out the order and terminates after completion of duration of the chosen plan.

How can I pay the premium? Will there be any additional charges on it?

The premium will be invoiced at the time of checkout and shall be payable as per the chosen payment method. The premiums mentioned above are inclusive of taxes and additional charges. 4% additional tax will be applicable for non-filer customers.

Can I cancel my policy and get a refund?

Purchase Protection Policy is non-refundable and non-cancelable.

What is required to a claim upon burglary?

Burglary losses above Rs. 25,000 are to be duly supported with an FIR from Police and for losses under Rs. 25,000, a Roznamcha from the Police will be acceptable

What type of items/losses/damages are excluded?

• Risk of atmospheric disturbance, flood, bursting and overflowing of pipes is excluded for items kept in open / open to sky.

• Cover excludes mechanical failure, design defects, perils ideally covered under warranty, and manufacturers defects.

• Cover is mandatory for all sales through proposers platform. Cover for each order shall be on first loss basis.

• The risk of Sabotage & Terrorism stands excluded

• Cover excludes animals, bullion, currency, bearer form negotiable instruments, precious metals and stones, firearms, parts thereof and ammunition, human remains, pornography and illegal narcotics/drugs

• Commodities that have been classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods prohibited or restricted article by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), any applicable government or other relevant organization

• Cover excludes those shipments marked delivery to P.O. Box address or suedo / routing addresses.

• Items that are damaged during the delivery period / in transit from vendor to customer.
